Pas vu, pas pris
protocol, drawings, prints on paper, engraved metal board, 62x40cm, 2025
A group of children was invited to invent new ways of walking, their movements becoming the expression of ideas or sensations.
These steps were then translated into drawn instructions.
Printed on sheets of paper, these instructions are made available to the public, free to activate them or to take them away.
The same instructions are also engraved on the metal plate supporting the sheets, allowing the drawings to remain visible even after the paper supply has been exhausted.
In this process, the conventional order of instruction is reversed, with children teaching adults alternative ways of walking.
The work exists in three distinct versions.
This artwork has been produced for the Triennale d’art contemporain d’Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve #11, "Thriller, Think Common, Play Public", curated by Emmanuel Lambion.
